Feijoas
Feijoa (fee-jo-a): A New Zealand fruit (not native to here though, originally from South America), but not likely to be found in North America. They taste a little like a pear; you eat them like a kiwi; they don't keep long enough to be shipped over seas; and they are yummy in an apple-feijoa crumble.
